Oman hotels post RO 52.3 million in revenues

The data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) showed that revenues from hotels with a 3-5 stars classification in Oman until the end of February 2024 reached RO 52.388 million or an increase of 18 per cent, compared to RO 44.415 million during the same period last year.

This increase is due to the growth in the total number of hotel guests by 18.2 per cent, recording 433,856 until the end of February 2024, compared to 366,969 guests during the same period last year. Meanwhile, the occupancy rate recorded a growth of 11.2 per cent.

Statistics showed that the number of Omani guests increased by 5.7 per cent reaching 141,335. The number of Gulf guests also increased by 13.6 per cent, recording 25,607. The number of European guests increased by 28.7 per cent, reaching 153,422.

The number of visitors from the Americas reached 14,82 , while the number of visitors from the African continent reached 2,029 , with a growth rate of 9.7 per cent. The number of Asian visitors also increased by 29.5 per cent to reach 54,562, and from Oceania 6,347.
