Investment opportunities showcased for diplomats at Invest Oman

In a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a significant gathering unfolded today at the Invest Oman Lounge. A number of ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Sultanate of Oman convened with a singular purpose: to explore the incentives and investment vistas awaiting in Oman across diverse sectors, with a keen eye on attracting foreign capital in the foreseeable future.

 

Eng Ammar al Kharusi, CEO of Invest Oman Lounge, spearheaded the proceedings, delivering a comprehensive visual presentation elucidating key facets of investment, tourism, and the economic landscape in Oman. His address also delved into recent economic advancements, investment regulations, and the array of facilities proffered by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion to potential investors spanning various sectors.

 

Meanwhile, diplomatic dignitaries embarked on an insightful tour of the Invest Oman Lounge, acquainting themselves with indispensable services and facilities tailored for investors eyeing opportunities in the country. Their exploration encompassed a deep dive into the investment mechanism, pertinent entities, potentialities, and informational resources available to investors, alongside perusing prominent opportunities across various economic sectors within Oman.

 

Ibtisam al Farooji, Under-Secretary for Investment Promotion at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, underscored the gathering’s significance as a platform to showcase Oman’s facilitations and incentives. She emphasized the importance of soliciting feedback, requirements, and perspectives from foreign ambassadors to bolster efforts in attracting foreign capital, in alignment with the goals outlined in Oman Vision 2040.

 

Highlighting the collaboration, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthy, Diplomatic Affairs Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, affirmed the ministry’s concerted efforts to bolster Oman’s investment and tourism potential through engagement with sisterly and friendly nations. This event stands as a testament to the ongoing endeavors aimed at fostering stronger ties and promoting Oman’s economic prospects.
