King Hamad bin Issa al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain, will pay a state visit to the Sultanate of Oman with effect from Tuesday.
\nThe Diwan of Royal Court issued a statement to this effect, reading as follows: \u201cKing Hamad bin Issa al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain, will pay a state visit to the Sultanate of Oman, with effect from Tuesday (January 14). The visit comes in response to an invitation from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
\n\u201cThe two leaders will explore some aspects of joint interest and various topics that contribute to promoting the joint Gulf action. They will also exchange views on the regional and international developments.
\n\u201cMay the Almighty Allah grant success to the two leaderships for the good of their peoples, and the Arab and Islamic nations!\u201d
\nThe Sultanate of Oman and the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain are looking forward to further partnerships that reflect the strong ties between the two countries. The Omani-Bahraini summit, to be held on Tuesday at Al Alam Palace, under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and King Hamad bin Issa al Khalifa, is an embodiment of this historical depth, strategic cooperation and continuous coordination.
\nOmani-Bahraini relations represent a model to be emulated in the journey of the Gulf Cooperation Council, especially since the roots of these ties extend to decades, and were built on solid foundations of brotherhood and mutual understanding, and were built on solid foundations since the prehistoric era of pearl fishing and trade, and the frankincense trade, which was popular between the two countries and peoples.
\nHis Majesty\u2019s visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2022, which witnessed the signing of a number of cooperation agreements, memoranda of understanding, and executive programmes, confirmed the determination and sincere will to translate the two countries\u2019 long-standing relations into tangible and evident benefits.
\nStatistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information shows that the volume of trade exchange between the Sultanate of Oman and Bahrain amounted to about RO 247.1 million ($642.6 million) in 2023.<\/p>\n
