Oman celebrates landmark copper export from new mine

Oman has reached a pivotal moment in its minerals sector with Al Hadeetha Resources LLC announcing the inaugural export of copper concentrate. This landmark event signifies a major breakthrough for both Oman and Al Hadeetha Resources LLC, heralding a new chapter in the nation’s economic diversification efforts.

The ambitious copper project, led by Al Hadeetha Resources LLC, represents a cornerstone of Oman’s strategic plans to broaden its economic base. Situated in Al Washihi – Al Majaza in the North Al Sharqiyah region, the project features cutting-edge mining and processing facilities designed to extract and refine copper ore into high-quality copper concentrate. Sayyid Khalid bin Hamed bin Saif al Busaidy, Chairman of Al Hadeetha Resources, expressed his enthusiasm: “Today is a remarkable day, marking the commencement of a groundbreaking journey for both Oman and our company in the minerals and mining sector.
